Description

Our medical sheepskin overlays, made from Shear Comfort XD1900, come in a range of sizes to fit a baby’s cot up to a Queen size bed. They can be used in a chair or on a bed to provide supreme comfort. The sheep’s wool is very comfortable, soft, and thick which feels great on the skin.

  • Medical Grade Sheepskin Overlays
Our XD1900 material conforms to the Australian Standard AS4480.1 for medical sheepskins.
  • High density wool for added comfort
The Shear Comfort Overlays made from XD1900 use high density wool woven at 1900g per sqm for pressure redistribution and added comfort.
  • Healthy microclimate for the skin
Wool takes up to 30% of its weight in water vapour without feeling moist. The air trapped between the wool fibres allows heat and moisture to dissipate.
  • Can aid quality sleep
Wool, being a natural material, gives a quieter more comfortable night’s sleep than when lying on a plastic-based product. In addition, a study in 1984 reported that a wool underlay decreased restlessness and improved sleep quality.
  • Machine washable up to 80 degrees Celsius
The fabric-backed material on which the wool is woven makes it easy to wash up to 80 degrees Celsius – for a hygienic wash.
  • 50 washes guaranteed
Shear Comfort overlays have a warranty up to 50 washes when following the manufacturer’s washing instructions.
